Sarah came to IYF in 2017 after serving as a community economic development advisor with the Peace Corps in northern Namibia for two years. While in Namibia, she worked at a vocational training school teaching entrepreneurship to students from eleven different technical and commercial trades and conducted research for her master’s thesis on women working in non-traditional construction and manufacturing fields. Sarah has previous experience supporting USAID-funded agriculture and education projects and is passionate about gender mainstreaming in international development programming and research. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in business from William and Mary in 2011 and an Master of Arts in public and international affairs from Virginia Tech in 2016. Sarah speaks Spanish and Oshiwambo, a Bantu language.
