Samuel joined IYF in 2015 as Senior Program Manager, co-leading the implementation strategy for IYF programming in Mozambique and providing technical oversight to life skills, employability, entrepreneurship, and capacity development activities. Samuel is also tasked with supervising technical specialists, as well as project coordination for staff seconded to public education and training institutions. Formerly a university lecturer, secondary education teacher, ODL practitioner, and curriculum & school manuals developer, Samuel has also worked extensively as an international consultant with UNESCO and the International Institute for Educational Planning-IIEP (Paris), a role in which he coordinated the overall implementation of the Education For All (EFA) capacity building program. Samuel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Culture and Portuguese Language (Universidade Clássica de Lisboa) and a Master of Arts in Education & International Development (IOE/ University of London).
