Manuel joined IYF in 2016 as a Project Manager. Since 2017, he’s been Employability Technical Advisor, a position in which he manages the implementation of Passport to Success® (PTS) in vocational training centers, contributes to the design of career guidance services, and helps adapt PTS lessons for application in sports for development projects. In his earlier role at IYF, Manuel managed two of IYF’s Mozal-funded initiatives, Escolhas and Dzima!, facilitating relationships with implementing partners and conducting training for teachers. Before joining IYF, Manuel served as Executive Director in the UPA NGO where, in partnership with IYF and ESSOR, he implemented the PREPA project financed by USAID under the PEPFAR initiative. He holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering from the University Eduardo Mondlane in Mozambique.
