Luis A. Quiñones joined IYF in June 2018 as Program Manager, US Workforce Development. He holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico and a Masters of Counseling Psychology from Bowie State University, Maryland. Witnessing firsthand the opportunities that education provided him, Luis was inspired to dedicate a lifetime to the struggle and advancement of people of color. He worked at the Latin American Youth Center for 13 years where he held various positions starting from direct service provider to Education and Workforce Department Director. During his tenure at LAYC, he championed organizational development, talent management, and program design. In addition, Luis has been an adjunct professor for the past 5 years at University System Ana G. Mendez where he teaches psychology courses. Luis has expertise in curriculum development and became a master facilitator providing training in Positive Youth Development, cultural competency, and LGTBQ+ sensitivity. Luis serves as a member of the OSSE Title III Advisory Committee and the League of United Latin American Citizens.
