Ilidio joined IYF in 2013 as a Technical Advisor and has been IYF’s Mozambique Country Director since 2016. An expert in technical and vocational education and training (TVET) and employment, he has more than 25 years of work experience in the areas of labor market and TVET in Mozambique. Prior to joining IYF, Ilidio worked for the Ministry of Labor as National Director of Vocational Training, National Director of Employment, and National Director of International Affairs. He holds three degrees: a Bachelor of Arts in Portuguese Language Teaching from Eduardo Mondlane University, a Master of Arts in Socioeconomic Development from the Higher Institute of Science and Technology (ISCTEM), and a Master of Science in Educational Science from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. A former professional basketball player and President of the Mozambique Basketball Federation, Ilidio is currently President of the Veterans Basketball Association and is known as a basketball television commentator and mentor for young players in Mozambique.
