Himber joined IYF in July 2006 as a Finance Manager for entra21, a regional employability program in Latin American and the Caribbean. Prior to joining IYF, Himber worked as the Director of Finance and Administration for E.L. Haynes Public Charter School in Washington DC. His professional experience also includes working as a consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank in Argentina; as a Project Manager with Building Blocks International in Chile and as a member of the Strategic Planning team at FINCA International. Himber grew up in El Salvador; received a BA in Psychology from SUNY Geneseo; and a Master’s in Global Finance, Trade, and Economics from the University of Denver, Colorado. During his studies, he was an intern with the World Trade Organization (based in Chile), and was the winner of a competitive language study fellowship in Brazil. He speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese.
