Youth Refugee Employability Toolkit: A Resource for Program Implementers

IYF created the Youth Refugee Employability Toolkit as resource for implementers of employability programs which target youth refugees in urban and semi-urban environments. Based on IYF’s experience in Turkey under the Syrian Refugee Employability Program (SREP), the toolkit comprises six units covering topics such as youth-focused development, healthy relationship management, positive messaging, programming models and content, and refugee labor rights. Each unit provides strategic guidance on several sub themes, each of which are explored through corresponding tools, practical exercises, visual frameworks, checklists, self-evaluations and tip sheets. This toolkit should help implementers improve their understanding of the unique needs and strengths of Syrian youth refugees in order to better design or modify programs serving this group.
