Since 2013 we have been partnering with the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) to explore the near- and long-term economic, social, and geopolitical implications of youth development trends around the world. Associated events, research, and publications further IYF’s overall objective to examine the opportunities and challenges facing young men and women and expand the conversation about youth and global development, economic growth, and social progress. Having identified a need for comprehensive data related to youth, IYF and CSIS launched the Global Youth Wellbeing Index, with support from Hilton Worldwide, in 2014. By assessing and comparing the state of young people around the world, the Index provides rich data-driven analysis of complex challenges and is a tool for public and private sector policy- and decision-makers to guide strategic investments and drive progress over time. The second release of the Index will be in Spring 2017 and will take an in depth look at gender differences.
