Representatives from nearly 60 youth organizations from 46 countries around the world are on their way to Washington DC to attend IYF’s 2010 Global Partner Meeting. This once-every-two year gathering will open with a one-day conference addressing the topics of youth employment and citizenship.  One of a number of exciting events organized to mark IYF’s 20th anniversary, this meeting will provide a unique opportunity for our global partners to engage in a dialogue with representatives from the international development community, the USGovernment, the Obama Administration, the Washington DC-based diplomatic corps, the private sector, and bi-lateral/multi-lateral organizations such as the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).   We are delighted that President Martti Ahtisaari, 2008 Nobel Peace Laureate, will give the keynote luncheon address, and that Queen Rania of Jordan will welcome participants, by video, to the conference. Stay tuned for more updates on this weeks’ exciting events!
