Forty-three percent of Palestine’s youth are unemployed, half of whom hold university degrees. In the face of myriad obstacles, among them a devastated economy, how can you maximize an emerging generation’s chances for career success?

“You begin by ensuring that the education these youth receive prepares them for the realities of the marketplace,” says IYF Country Director Mohammed AlMbaid, who for the last six years has led efforts to foster systems change within Palestinian universities. This work has been part of Youth Entrepreneurship Development, an initiative carried out in partnership with USAID. Below is a snapshot of the ‘continuum of care’ now available to guide Palestinian students as they consider their career goals and the steps needed to achieve them.
