Julie came to IYF in 2013 with over 10 years of experience in engaging donors, volunteers, corporate partners and nonprofit agencies both domestically and internationally. For the past 8 years, Julie served as a key member of the resource development team at United Way in Boston, MA. Julie began her career in community service in 2001 as a member of Americorps*VISTA for ACCION USA in Boston, providing small business loans to microentrepreneurs. She later worked as a member of the Peace Corps as a Youth and Community Development volunteer in Fiji. Julie spent additional time living overseas studying German in Heidelberg, Germany and as a community volunteer in Delhi, India. Julie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies from the University of Oklahoma and a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Massachusetts.
