Youth In Action: Profiles of Youth Leading Change Around the World, Volume II
By:  Sheila Kinkade
Foreword by David Hornbeck and Martin Sandelin
Youth Participation

Youth In Action: Profiles of Youth Leading Change Around the World, volume II highlights the stories of the 20 outstanding youth leaders who are tackling many of the most urgent issues of our time -- violence, discrimination, HIV/AIDS, environmental degradation, citizen apathy, and homelessness.
Each is the recipient of the 2003 YouthActionNet (www.youthactionnet.org) award.

In this publication you’ll read the inspiring stories of these young leaders. Meseret Yirga, 22, who uses drama and dance to reach out to children in need in Ethiopia and Patrick Kaupun, 23, who leads community efforts to combat deforestation in Papua New Guinea. Such stories paint an overwhelmingly positive picture of the tremendous power of youth to contribute to their communities.
