The Centro de Información y Recursos para el Desarrollo (CIRD) is a private, nonprofit organization established in 1988 to mobilize the human and financial resources of the public and private sectors of Paraguay for the promotion of civil society organizations.
Currently, its main areas of interest include drug abuse prevention, youth development, institutional strengthening, and public health. Its recent efforts include the strengthening of networks of NGOs and businesses committed to youth development; the production of an NGOs directory; technical assistance to local governments to better plan and mange health services; capacity building efforts in the Paraguay legislature, and a nationwide initiative to strengthen civil society organizations. |
