Payal has been with IYF since 2012. Prior to IYF, she was a policy analyst with the Global Assets Project (GAP) at the New America Foundation, where she led its knowledge management efforts for youth savings initiatives in developing countries. Payal has also served as a program manager for Relief International where she implemented and designed high-school level, education curricula for a portfolio of programs in Asia. After completing her graduate studies, Payal’s interest in microfinance led her to consult on Yes Bank’s microcredit product in Mumbai, India, and later, for the World Bank’s regional investment climate assessment report on Southern Africa. Payal holds a Masters degree in development economics from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University and a Bachelors degree from the University of California, Irvine. She speaks Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati, and Spanish.
