Christie Scott came to IYF in 2011 with 20 years of international development experience. Since 2007, she had worked with Save the Children serving as Associate Director of Emergency Operations and previously as Associate Director Operations for the Middle East and Eurasia. She was previously with ChildFund (Richmond, Virginia) serving as Director of Emergency Response and Child Protection, as well as a Specialist on Microenterprise Development. Among other relevant experience, she has served in senior staff roles within the Peace Corps in Central Asia, served as the Field Coordinator, Afghanistan for the International Rescue Committee, and was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Kenya.  She has provided technical and programmatic support in over 20 countries throughout her career.  Christie holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in International Business and Finance from the American University (1989).
