Sarabecka Mullen

Program Director, Life Skills Programs and Senior Trainer

Sarabecka Mullen joined IYF in 2006 and serves as Director for Life Skills Programs. Through her role as Senior Trainer, Sarabecka has led trainings on life skills education and interactive pedagogical methodologies in Africa, Asia, and Europe. Sarabecka came to IYF from the Alliance for International Education and Cultural Exchange, where she promoted international education exchange and effective public diplomacy strategies. Prior to the Alliance, Sarabecka worked for CARE International in Kosovo where she designed and led human rights education trainings to advance ethnic tolerance and reconciliation. Sarabecka also spent two years teaching English in a small village in Japan on the JET Program. Sarabecka holds a Master’s degree from the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s in International Political Economy from Colorado College.  Originally from Honolulu, Sarabecka has a working knowledge of Spanish and Japanese and has visited over 60 countries.
