Lin Lin Aung

Manager Monitoring & Evaluation

 

Lin is currently serving as program manager for IYF’s youth education and employability programs in Africa funded by Microsoft, Samsung and the World Bank. She came to IYF in June 2006 as program coordinator for USAID and corporate-funded education programs in Asia. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Asian Studies, with a minor in Business Administration, from Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, VA. She also holds a Master’s Degree in International Development from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service in Washington, DC. Originally from Burma, she speaks Burmese, and has published articles in various scholarly journals and co-authored a book on Southeast Asia in 2004. Prior to IYF, she interned or worked at the United Nations Environment Programme in Bangkok, the US Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance/USAID, and the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies in Los Angeles.
