Saudi Youth@Work Alliance

Work

The Saudi Youth@Work Alliance is centered upon a partnership started in 2012 between IYF and the King Khalid Foundation (KKF), one of the leading foundations supporting youth development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Through the partnership, KKF’s experience and its unique position as a supporter of innovative social development programs in Saudi Arabia are being matched with IYF’s global and regional expertise on “what works” in positive youth development to support best practice approaches to support the employability of Saudi youth. Based on consultation and multi-stakeholder research, the two parties established the alliance and are actively recruiting partners from across sectors to join the Alliance. Current partners in the alliance include Hilton Worldwide as well as other private sector companies and public sector organizations.

  • The capacity of 15 Saudi nonprofit organizations (NPOs) and training institutes will be built to design, implement and evaluate effective workforce development programs for youth in the areas of employability, entrepreneurship, and service learning;
  • Grants and technical support will be provided to selected NPOs to implement pilot programs in these thematic areas and targeting approximately 800 Saudi young men and women;
  • Over 1,000 Saudi Youth will be equipped with effective life skills training through IYF’s flagship program Passport to Success®, and a cadre of 20 Saudi based trainers for the program will be prepared.
