PURPOSE
To assist the Creative Team in updating IYF’s Visual Identity System to further enhance IYF’s brand, and to develop various outreach materials.

SUMMARY
The International Youth Foundation (IYF), a global nonprofit organization that works to improve the lives and conditions of young people worldwide, is seeking a Temporary/Part-time Graphic Designer (3 months) to assist the Creative Team in updating IYF’s Visual Identity System to further enhance IYF’s brand, and to develop various outreach materials. The ideal candidate will have a compelling portfolio that demonstrates his/her strong understanding of visual identity and brand guideline documents, conceptualization skills, and firm grasp of production requirements. RESPONSIBILITIES

Working closely with the Creative Manager, Creative Director and VP, Strategic Planning and Outreach:

• Research Visual Identity/Branding Guideline systems and revise and update IYF’s Visual Identity Guidelines accordingly.
• Design a new Powerpoint Template for IYF.
• Design new roll-up banners for IYF.
• Source photographs for use.
• Review other IYF collateral materials and suggest updates.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Graphic Design or similar field preferred.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat Pro.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Mac literate.
• Demonstrated ability in designing for larger formats (banners).
• Strong understanding of Visual Identity and Brand Guidelines documents.
• Strong conceptualizing skills.
• A firm grasp of production requirements for print vs screen use.
• Highly motivated designer, who takes initiative and brings ideas.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• A compelling portfolio.
