A four-year civic engagement and entrepreneurship initiative, Jasa.kg harnessed and cultivated the dynamism and creativity of Kyrgyzstani youth to build a stable, prosperous and democratic nation. Launched in 2011 with funding from USAID, the project focused on four key areas: civic engagement, workforce development, positive youth development, and life skills for orphans. Thousands of youth completed Passport to Success® life skills coursework, and their training culminated in community service projects. In addition to other positive outcomes, Jasa.kg saw the establishment of youth clubs leading volunteer projects, entrepreneurship training based on original business plans, youth-centric leadership seminars, and dance training as a way for orphans to build teamwork and conflict management skills.
