Development Outreach, the World Bank’s flagship magazine in the field of global development has just published an article co-authored by IYF CEO William S. Reese and Alan Williams, IYF Vice President for Leadership and Engagement.  “Taking Matters into Their Own Hands: The role of today’s young social entrepreneurs,” highlights youth leaders who are developing local solutions to the world’s challenges. Noting the growing power of the global youth movement, the article places a special focus on  YouthActionNet ™ - an  IYF program that identifies, encourages, and enhances the potential of today’s young social entrepreneurs. “The opportunities these young people have – and the choices that they make – will profoundly influence current events and our collective futures,” write the authors.

 

Development Outreach, published three times a year and offering a range of viewpoints by renowned authors and specialists, is distributed by the World Bank to 20,000 business leaders, policy makers, government officials, academics, and practitioners in more than 130 countries worldwide.
