International Youth Foundation Releases New Magazine

The International Youth Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of YOUth, a new publication offering a collection of interviews, personal stories, and essays focused on youth development around the world.  The magazine, which will be published by IYF twice a year, celebrates the power and promise of young people to change the world, while incorporating the varied voices and perspectives from those in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors.   The wide range of stories and reports give IYF an opportunity to demonstrate the different ways its work fits into broader efforts to address some of the most pressing global issues facing young people today – including HIV/AIDS, social apathy, and lack of educational opportunities.

The premiere issue includes a guest commentary by Christiane Amanpour, CNN’s Chief International Correspondent; a Q&A with a leading Balkan business leader on his company’s work to address youth unemployment; and an article on emerging public/private partnership in Egypt to expand young people’s job opportunities. “In My Own Words” profiles two young people from Uganda and Mexico who describe the challenges they face in their communities and the impact that IYF programs have made in their lives.
