![]() IYF Releases Latest Learnings on Employee Engagement Responding to an ever-growing movement in the corporate world to encourage and support employee volunteer activities, the International Youth Foundation has published a report that provides examples of employee engagement programs, advice on how to make them more effective, and direct experiences of employees themselves. “Global companies are increasingly seeing the benefits of playing a positive role in the communities in which they operate,” says William S. Reese, CEO and President of the International Youth Foundation. “With 90 percent of Fortune 500 companies currently supporting some level of volunteerism by their employees, we wanted to make a contribution by sharing our learnings about ‘what works’ in this important field.”
“Promoting Employee Engagement” is part of the Field Notes series, published by IYF to promote best practices and innovative approaches in the youth development arena. This publication draws many of its examples and learnings from the volunteer activities of Lucent employees, who have worked with IYF partner organizations in 14 countries to improve the lives of young people. “We have had a strong commitment to engaging our employees as volunteers in community service activities in the communities where we do business,” says Chris Park, President of the Alcatel-Lucent Foundation, “and we have been especially excited to partner with IYF around world.” Click here to read "Promoting Employee Engagement" or other Field Notes.
