to Employability Program in the Balkans
At the recent 2007 Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) meeting held in New York, Studio Moderna, a Slovenia-based marketing firm, renewed and expanded its commitment to youth employability and entrepreneurship in the Balkans through its partnership with IYF partner, the Balkan Children and Youth Foundation (BCYF). A video documenting the positive results of the initiative was shown during the CGI meeting and is now available on YouTube. View the video.
Since 2005, BCYF’s partnership with Studio Moderna has provided employability training to 1,000 youth in Macedonia, where youth unemployment tops 50%. Studio Moderna, which initially learned about BCYF through CGI, doubled its funding for the program in 2007 to US$100,000, and expanded job training activities to Kosovo.
