Hazem's Story

My name is Hazem Abdullah, I’m 17 years old, and I am a student at Qutaiba Bin-Muslim high school. My daily routine was going to school, going back home, meeting my friends at any of the guys’ house, and playing games there. I like music a lot, and I play the guitar. I discovered that I love music when I was young watching my father playing on his own guitar.

One day, a group from Intel Computer Clubhouse in Jordan came to my school and told us about the club. I was so excited and went there on the first day they opened the club. I had some fears on that day, fears about not satisfying my hopes, but those fears soon vanished when I saw things they do in the club. This gave me a chance to start a private band with three other students from my school, and we have become the official band at the school events.

"The clubhouse isn’t only giving me the chance to become a talented guitarist but a self confident leader in the band, breaking the barrier of shyness and fear.” Now, I go to the club everyday. I meet my old friends and new friends there, we enjoy being in the studio, playing on our favorite instruments, making some new remixes for songs by using the computer software. I’m really reaching the development I hope to achieve on my talent and my hobby.

For me the clubhouse is a place to find yourself and all your interests.
