The organization Gente Nueva provides three types of support: low-cost daily rations for communities that carry out non-remunerated social works (el tequio), small individual loans for women organized in groups, and larger loans for microentrepreneurs. Gente Nueva receives donations from a U.S. foundation and from some Mexican companies. It is inspired by the framework developed by the U.S. foundation FINCA.
