Several international institutions work with NGOs active in Oaxaca but which traditionally have not focused their efforts on youth as a strategic or priority sector. These include the Ford Foundation and Inter-American Foundation (both based in the United States), and NOVIB (Netherlands), whose financing strategies favor the peasant-indigenous sector, production, and sustainable development, and other issues such as women, culture, and natural resources.
