Only a few of the NGOs in Oaxaca that work in rural development have included projects or activities specifically for children and young people in their programs, projects, and activities. In general, they do not use very elaborate models, and the experience is recent. This category includes an environmental education project for children, carried out by Asesoría Técnica para las Comunidades Oaxaqueñas, A.C., and a cultural heritage program for children of the Unión de los Museos Comunitarios. Although Comunalidad, A.C. is not specialized in working with children or youths, it serves a large number of young people through its various complementary education programs.
