
Dina Buchbinder
Dina is a young social entrepreneur who is passionate about children’s potential and ideas. In 2007, she founded Deport-es para Compartir (Sports for Sharing), an educational and civic program that teaches children how to become better citizens in a fun, meaningful way through games and sporting activities. As of 2012, the program has touched the lives of more than 161,600 beneficiaries, including 63,892 children, 95,838 parents, and 1,879 teachers. In 2009 Dina was selected as a YouthActionNet® Global Fellow at the International Youth Foundation (IYF) and won the UVM Award for social development. In 2010 she began a two-year term as Youth Advisor of the World Federation of United Nations Associations. An Ashoka Fellow, Dina was awarded the Women’s Mexican National Award for philanthropy in 2012 and named Global Shaper by the World Economic Forum. Currently serving as director of the United Nations Youth Association in Mexico, Dina joined IYF’s board of directors in 2013.
